Mia Parker
Creature Feature
Growing up in Mississippi, I developed a strained relationship with hunting. In particular taxidermy and how it can be made into living art. The focus of my ceramics is on creating sculptural animal pieces. By adding unique mythological elements inspired by folklore, while also using clay building methods that humanize these creatures. Life is given back to these characters.
