Damion S. Hardy, a May 2020 graduate of the Mississippi State University School of Architecture, is part of the inaugural class of the National Organization of Minority Architects Foundation Fellowship.
Third-year architecture student Alysia E. Williams of Kennesaw, Georgia will receive $3,000 to conduct research for Method Studio, a Utah-based architectural design firm.
I have known I wanted to be an architect since I was eight years old, and the day I stepped into Giles I knew I was going to make Mississippi State my home. I could clearly envision myself working in our studio every day, and I definitely made the right decision.
My favorite spot on campus is the courtyard in the Chapel of Memories. I especially love doing homework next to the water fountain and looking at all the colorful trees in the springtime!
Architect, professor, and founding dean of the Mississippi State University School of Architecture William “Bill” G. McMinn (89) passed away on Aug. 21.
