I decided to come to CAAD at MSU because of the unique opportunities and the high job after graduation rate that are offered within this college. I don't know of any other college that offers actual hands-on construction and provide real world challenges for the students.
Growing up I have been surrounded by design and construction, so naturally I gravitated towards that field. My parents are both Mississippi State graduates, so I had been looking to attend Mississippi State for my whole life. Upon finding the Building Construction Science department, I knew that I had found where I needed to be. The hands-on aspect and the community of CAAD at MSU are second to none.
I was drawn toward CAADatMSU due to the accomplished programs within CAAD. I've been passionate about architecture, construction, and design since I was a child; therefore, when surveying architecture and construction programs throughout the southeast, Mississippi State's Building Construction Science Department quickly stood out amongst the choices. The studio-based curriculum and overall approach here is unique, along with the added value and comradery present at MSU.

I’d say Howell Building because all my friends study there.
Enjoy high school more and don’t stress over grades; they don’t matter as much until you get to college.
I plan to go into the field of construction and to own my own construction company, and the BCS department is the best MSU has to offer.
It has to be Dudy Noble; it’s hard to beat a weekend baseball game.
I chose CAAD because I really loved the studio-based program and that we get a business administrative minor along with the BCS degree.
My favorite spot on campus is the Drill Field. It is the perfect place to enjoy the sun, read a book, or talk with friends.
Associate Professor Michele Herrmann, who holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School and has been teaching fourth-year BCS studios since fall 2011, said she’s excited to learn the administration side and see things through that perspective.
I serve as the Executive Vice President of Probity Contracting. Being a midsized contracting company focused on the Southeast, I am personally involved with every aspect of the company, from the company's financials to the daily activities of our labor forces in the field.
