QCAAD, or Queer students in the College of Architecture, Art and Design, strives to create a safe space for students and faculty in architecture and the allied arts who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community and welcomes allies. The club hosts weekly study hangouts and craft events during the semester, represents CAAD in the yearly Starkville Pride Parade, and coordinates LGBTQIA+ History Month events during October.

Five teams of students were recognized with honors by jurors for their final projects in the Spring 2023 Collaborative Studio.
The College of Architecture, Art and Design Dean's Council hosted a series of events for CAAD students, faculty and staff to wind down and de-stress before the end of the semester.
The day kicked off with a "free-for-all paint wall" with spray painting and paint-filled water balloons.
Next, a teacher from The Studio Barre and Wellness in Starkville taught a "Restore" class that focused on breathing, meditation, and movement.
The purpose of this new course – taught by Department of Art Instructor Lori Neuenfeldt – is to allow students to step into the world of museum professionals and gain first-hand experience creating museum programs, displays, and planning an exhibition.
