Mississippi State University Department of Art Professor Marita Gootee recently had her photography accepted into the International Texas Photographic Society’s 35th Annual Members Only Show.
"Mending" is an Encaustic Lumen image from Gootee's Last Contact series. It was created with support from the Mississippi Arts Commission Mini Grant program and was selected for inclusion by juror Keith Carter.
The work will be on display at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene, Texas, from Jan. 19 through March 11, 2023.
